In Memoriam

The fall and winter have been marred by losses in the ASCB community. We send our deepest sympathy to the families. With sadness we recognize those we have lost:

  • Heinz Herrmann, 98
  • John C. Sisson, 48
  • Philip Siekevitz, 91
  • Elizabeth H. Leduc, 88
  • Gary Bokoch, 55
  • Adriel Johnson, 52
  • Robert Trelstad, 69

If you wish to honor any or all of these members’ many contributions, several of their families invite you to make tax-deductible (in the U.S.) contributions in their names. Or you may send to the ASCB Half-Century Society, 8120 Woodmont Ave, Suite 750, Bethesda, MD 20814, USA.

ARRA Advances Science

American Recovery & Reinvestment (ARRA) opponents insist ARRA is a failure…and that the NIH is misspending some ARRA funding. Tell your elected officials and local newspapers about how NIH ARRA funding is helping your community economically to improve human health. Go to www.ascb.org/ARRA to tell your story.
